Consider that from the time he was elected to Arkansas, the Republicans set
out to get him. He is the most investigated president in History (possibly the most investigated US citizen). Hundreds of millions of dollars have been spent investigating him, his wife, and others in his administration; yet all the could pin on him is a blow job (which BTW is NOT considered having sex in D.C.) IN SPITE of all the distractions, he let the nation to prosperity, Not 1 soldier he sent into battle failed to return (before someone hollers Somalia, I'll remind you that Bush the first sent the military there). Probably more millionaires were created during his 2 terms than any other, we were on good terms with most of the world. Now as to the "accomplishments" of Bush The US homeland was attack -- our defense was laughable -- not one plane in the air to defend the pentagon, in spite of over a hours warning. He promised to get those responsible, but hasn't. The economy is in the tank Joblessness is up He has alienated most of the civilized world Ordered 700+ of our sons and daughters to their death. Untold numbers have been wounded. We are mired in a conflict that seems unresolovable unless we admit defeat and pull out He has inspired fanatic suicide bombers to kill Americans whenever possible His administration is the most secretive in my memory. -- Allegations of Big Business involvement are everywhere His VP, and daddy are still connected with business that profits from war (Halliburton and the Carlyle Group ) There are numerous connections between the Bush family and the Saudi's Bush Jr., is an embarrassment every time he speaks to the public because of his lack of proper english What could be worse??? |

By all measures, we experienced a *very* short-lived recession thanks to the Bush tax cut. Without it, we'd probably still be in a deep recession. Additionally, the Taliban would still control Afghanistan. Saddam would still be in charge of Iraq. France, Russia and China would still be selling banned weapons to Iraq. UN officials would still be skimming billions off the oil-for-food program. al Qaeda would be stronger than ever, and probably control the oil coming from the Middle East. And numerous additional domestic terrorist attacks would be occurring because algore would be dealing with each attack as a law enforcement issue. |

It's too bad you didn't suffer economically during the Bush recession. You'd be a better person with a bit of suffering and angst in your troublefree life. Without it, we'd probably still be in a deep recession. This based upon your liberal arts studies of economics? |

No one died when Clinton lied.
Things you have to believe to be a Republican today. 1. Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery. 2. The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing UN resolutions against Iraq. 3. Government should relax regulation of Big Business and Big Money but crack down on individuals who use marijuana to relieve the pain of illness. 4. "Standing Tall for America'" means firing your workers and moving their jobs to India. 5. A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multinational corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation. 6. Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton. 7. The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay. 8. Group sex and drug use are degenerate sins unless you someday run for governor of California as a Republican. 9. If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex. 10. A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our longtime allies, then demand their cooperation and money. 11. HMOs and insurance companies have the interest of the public at heart. 12. Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing health care to all Americans is socialism. 13. Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools. 14. Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion. 15. A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy. 16. Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet. 17. The public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle trades, but George Bush's driving record is none of our business. Similarly his service record flying publicly funded aircraft is also none of the public's business. And don't even thing about Cheney's Halliburton/Energy Policy. 18. You support states' rights, which means Attorney General John Ashcroft can tell states what local voter initiatives they have a right to adopt. 19. What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital national interest, but what Bush did in the '80s is irrelevant. 20. Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony. Capt. Jeff |

Gore could have been President during all of this? YES, and we will never know how well (or poorly) he might have done. I can't imagine what he could do worse I can. By all measures, we experienced a *very* short-lived recession thanks to the Bush tax cut. Without it, we'd probably still be in a deep recession. Additionally, the Taliban would still control Afghanistan. They pretty much still are, and as soon as we leave, they will be in full charge again, so just what have we accomplished there? Saddam would still be in charge of Iraq. So what? Did you HONESTLY, before Bush lied us into Iraq, think about Iraqi citizens being abused? And were those thoughts of how we could releive the suffering of those citizens? If so, then why now do you make statements like we should nuke them all? France, Russia and China would still be selling banned weapons to Iraq. Have a problem with governments selling weapons to Iraq? Did you have the same concerns when the United States (Rumsfield) did the same? UN officials would still be skimming billions off the oil-for-food program. Only difference is, now it's US that's doing that, by way of "private contractors", and Bush/Cheney are profiting. al Qaeda would be stronger than ever, and probably control the oil coming from the Middle East. How do you know that al Qaeda "would be stronger than ever" and "control the oil coming from the Middle East"? And numerous additional domestic terrorist attacks would be occurring because algore would be dealing with each attack as a law enforcement issue. What proof of this wild allegation do you have? |

I really didn't care...and still don't. If so, then why now do you make statements like we should nuke them all? See my answers above. How do you know that al Qaeda "would be stronger than ever" and "control the oil coming from the Middle East"? Because algore would have given in to bin Laden's demands after 9/11...and left the Middle East. And numerous additional domestic terrorist attacks would be occurring because algore would be dealing with each attack as a law enforcement issue. What proof of this wild allegation do you have? Al Gore would have just continued with the Reno Justice Dept. method of combatting terrorism. Arrest the surviving suicide bombers. |
