In article , says... This morning I did a friend a favor and delivered a 23 foot Aquasport CC for him, did the delivery and took the owner out for an orientation ride up - the usual delivery thing. As it happened, my RC400 handheld chartplotter had failed to do a software update and just locked up. I was going right by the Raymarine facility in Merrimack, NH so I decided ahead of time to stop in and drop it off for service saving some postage and insurance. I walked into the facility and the receptionist took my information, got on the horn and in less than five minutes, a technician appeared. I explained the problem to him, he took my unit, said he'd be right back and presto, five minutes later he comes out with a brand new unit, makes the paperwork swap and I'm on my way. Now that is service. Either that or they know it's a piece of crap and don't want to mess with it. Hope, for your sake, it's the former. Still an optimist, eh? :) |
