It's really just big enough for 2-3 people to walk around. But when you start adding gear, it starts getting in the way. I plan to add rod holders to my T-top to get them out of the way. I'll probably put my outriggers up top as well. Any good suggestions for efficient storage? What make? I just want to see a picture of it. Does it have a swim platform? I put a couple eye bolts through the back of a cooler and it stays on the swim platform when I'm fishing. I tie it to the back with 3/8" nylon through the lifting eyes on the boat. It's a Seahunt 186. It does have a swim platform on both sides of the motor. That's a good idea as, so far, that's wasted space. Looking at pictures of the new ones, you have a lot of room at the bow also. Do you have a cooler in front of the console? That's usually a pretty good spot, and you can find brackets etc. at West Marine (or from Igloo). Coolers are great for storage! Yes. I have a cooler there and use it for storage. I also have a cooler behind the CC (where el Capitan sits ![]() Next tip - Tell the people that come with you to bring only one bag. I've had guys show up with four bags, one with clothes, one with food, one with drinks, and one with tackle. Hell, sometimes you'd think we were going to be gone for a couple weeks! When I take folks out, I tell them being one change of clothes and shoes. I'll bring everything else. Makes life easier. I tell 'em one small bag. I also tell them to wear a cap and bring sunglasses. One guy I take is a diabetic. He gets a little extra consideration. -- John H "All decisions are the result of binary thinking." How about the fishing dude you invite for a fishing trip who comes aboard with a tackle box the size of a steamer trunk and 5 rods and reels? I've got one like that. He knows I've got only six rod holders for trolling, and six rods to put in them. Yet he always brings along a few rods, just in case. They usually just stay in his pickup. Sometimes I don't mind a few extra, and different, lures, especially if they're the result of some knowledge I didn't have.
