The recommended cruise RPM is 4000, but the F200 is *faster* than the F225. There is about a 360lb difference in the accessory weight (from something??), but would this account for the difference? Also, what's the simple difference between a Yamaha 200 HPDI and the current engines. Is the HPDI a two or four stroke? I'm looking at an ad for a 2001 GW 228 w/Yamaha 200 HPDI engine for $31865. I'd bet money on the weight. Take your boat out for a run, take notice of speed, etc. Then add 360 lbs. at the transom, and try again. |
