I will be using it on a small bay for crabbing, and general use. I would like to have this boat around for a few years and am concerned about it durability. The boat is rated for a max of 25hp and weighs in the neighborhood of 270 lbs. I know Lund has a great reputation, but this is their low-end model. Your advice is greatly appreciated. You can't go wrong with a Lund. Period. End of discussion. Later, Tom Discussion opened again. 15hp may be too small. My 14' light weight Valco, would do maybe 22 with just me and with 500# of weight about 18 max. A 16' Lund is going to weigh more, and with crab gear, a lot more. |
