something, Jim? Does it take 21,000 posts for you to make an informed
decision? Now, I'll ask again, in a different manner, perhaps you'll
get it. You said that you feel that Harry single handedly ruined this
newsgroup because of his "posts with anger and hatred toward those he
disagrees with", correct? So, let's take a couple of other examples. If
Harry is so bad, then what about someone, who, let's just say, posts
out and out lie after lie about another member....KNOWINGLY lying about
that person. Do you think that would have a negative or positive affect
on the newsgroup? What about someone who stalks another person, never
offering the slightest bit of interesting or factual matter, but
instead berates, lies, and indulges in petty, childish name calling.
Would you say THAT person has a negative of positive affect on the
newsgroup? What about someone who, if anything is said by someone of
the liberal bent, instantly jumps to attention, and without any facts
or information, simply bashes them for being left-leaning, then works
hard to inform the group that he is the best there ever was at
anything, lives in the best house ever built, in the best place on
earth. Would you say THAT was a positive influence on rec.boats? What
about someone who, among other things, posts for DAYS, not saying
anything else but "Harry, you are a ****ing liar". Is THAT something
that is positive to the group? It goes on and on. I don't know how
anyone in their right mind could blame one person for the downfall of a
newsgroup.
