I'm *sure* the Clintons care more about getting Bush out of office than
getting her the presidency.

I truly, surely, sincerely hope that the preponderance of democrats are as

Gotta love it...the reichwingers are just beginning to get really
nervous that their dumb boy in the White House is going to lose his
fall. How delightful.

As for Hillary, I'd vote for her, but I don't see her as the nominee.
She sure scares the crap out of Republicans, though, and for that she
deserves allocades.

Maybe she deserves accolades in your opinion. But I see absolutely nothing
presidential in her! What executive leadership positions? What has she
accomplished outside of forgetting legal papers?

My boat is doing fine, and I'm looking forward to launching.

Oh, BTW, not nervous, really -- anyone with more than a room-temp IQ
realized that this fall's election would be close. My post only pointed out
that it would be convenient if all dems were as short-sighted as jps re the
political plays going on around us.

If the Reps implode, and a Dem win looks likely, I think Hill will somehow
engineer a Kerry fade and a draft movement.

She sure scares the crap out of Republicans .....

.....as she should out of *any* thinking American.

Why is that, John? She hasn't started any wars under false pretenses, as
your dumb boy bush has

She (and her husband) are both confirmed secular humanists, which means, at
the simplest level, that their definition of ethical right and wrong will
bob and weave depending on what is required for them to accomplish whatever
is their current goal. Hillary has also clearly demonstrated, in practice
and writing, an unequivocal preference for large, broad-stroke government
program solutions, and for substantial redistribution of wealth via
government policy.

In short, she is the most powerful socialist this country has ever seen
close to the seat of power, and she somehow has a huge portion of the
population, particularly women, sucking down the kool-aid like kids at a
picnic. Damn right she scares me.....

Uh-huh. Is that the Rush Linmbaugh appellation and definition?

Is that sorta like making war on Afghanistan and Iraq? Certainly *that*

Yeah, well, we do need to tip the scale so it is balanced.

I don't like her 'cause she's ugly and bush-bumps with other ugly

Yeah...no wonder you righties fear secular humanism. even though Hillary
Clinton ain't one.

What is Secular Humanism?

Secular humanism, or Secularism, is the religion of humanity; it
embraces the affairs of this world; it is interested in everything that
touches the welfare of a sentient being; it advocates attention to the
particular planet in which we happen to live; it means that each
individual counts for something; it is a declaration of intellectual
independence; it means that the pew is superior to the pulpit

Secularism means food and fireside, roof and raiment, reasonable work
and reasonable leisure, the cultivation of the tastes, the acquisition
of knowledge, the enjoyment of the arts, and it promises for the human
race comfort, independence, intelligence, and above all liberty. It
means the abolition of sectarian feuds, of theological hatreds. It means
the cultivation of friendship and intellectual hospitality. It means the
living for ourselves and each other; for the present instead of the
past, for this world rather than for another. It means the right to
express your thought in spite of popes, priests, and gods. It means that
impudent idleness shall no longer live upon the labor of honest men. It
means the destruction of the business of those who trade in fear. It
proposes to give serenity and content to the human soul. It will put out
the fires of eternal pain. It is striving to do away with violence and
vice, with ignorance, poverty and disease. It lives for the ever present
to-day, and the ever coming to- morrow. It does not believe in praying
and receiving, but in earning and deserving. It regards work as worship,
labor as prayer, and wisdom as the savior of mankind. It says to every
human being, Take care of yourself so that you may be able to help
others; adorn your life with the gems called good deeds; illumine your
path with the sunlight called friendship and love.

Secularism is a religion, a religion that is understood. It has no
mysteries, no mumblings, no priests, no ceremonies, no falsehoods, no
miracles, and no persecutions. It considers the lilies of the field, and
takes thought for the morrow. It says to the whole world, Work that you
may eat, drink, and be clothed; work that you may enjoy; work that you
may not want; work that you may give and never need.

Well, that's all well and good, except that its just a cut & paste of a 120
year old manifesto. Ingersoll died 105 years ago! Anyone who reads some of
their modern stuff ought to be rightly frightened for the future of our
schools, religious institutions, indeed the structure of our society.

I seem to remember she and her husband blowing up a few places. Bosnia,
troops in Somalia, without proper equipment. Killed an aspirin factory.

and for substantial redistribution of wealth via
government policy.

And whats bad for you is also good for America.

What executive leadership has she shown. Well, I admit, she did reorganize
the White House travel department.
