That's definitely a shame, but you gotta ask yourself: would there be as much of an outcry if they were slimy, reptilian creatures? Lloyd ************ If they were rats, most places would *require* that they be killed. A rat is no more or less alive than a seal, but as you observe rats are not considered cute. Personally, I am opposed to waste. In the traditional native hunts, only those animals needed for food or raw materials were killed and the indigenous people found a use for virtually every part of the carcasses. BTW Lloyd: Our US title (concealed in NG to avoid accusations of SPAM) is now available up your way as a "freebie". Much the same editorial content you're used to seeing offered at $4.65 Canadian. Now you'll simply have to use discriminating literary taste, rather than financial priorities, as the best reason *not* to read our stuff. :-) |

Please show how you came to such a conclusion. Remember, now, we're talking about seals here, not your inability to realize that you don't know what you are talking about, when making statements about me. Where did I ever say anything that would make you think that I'd get either "violently upset" over taking seals for their body parts, or, that I "seem to be a little upset" over taking seals for their body parts? |
