Yes, you're right. It doesn't add 'credence' to the issue of the
correct numbers and it doesn't have a whole lot to say about the
original issue concerning world affairs being swayed by belief in the
Rapture. I agree with you that it's proof that a lot of those people
are 'kooks', and will just assume that since they are religous
republicans, you agree with them and their way of thinking is allright.
