Be careful what you ask for because there are quite a few boats out
there that you really don't want passing at speed.


The boater is still responsible for his wake. The point is the wake is
generally lower on plane than it will be at the "courtesy" speed these folks
choose.


If you want to be
passed with minimal wake, slow waaaay down, almost to a crawl before
the faster boat overtakes you


There are lots of cases where I am stopped.



A heavy 50 footer
leaves very little wake at 7 knots, but 3 feet plus at 10 knots.


The 50 footers are not the problem. It is usually a 18' bow rider that rocks me
by passing at the worst possible speed.
