I don't like being verballed by the likes of you either, I've made it

I've never been there, but there's a place in the Keys called Robbie's where
the tarpon literally eat out of your hand right at the dock. Fishing there
would be a *huge* no-no.



Same in Key West. It was fun to hook one up on heavy line with the drag locked
down and watch them jump 10 feet in front of you a couple of times then unhook
them and let them swim away very green.

There is a difference between informed and ignorant. Unfortunately you
don't seem to recognize it.

It's also unfortunate that any knowledge on the subject of boats you may
have is buried and far over shadowed by your ignorance.

occurrence around here. But the fact is, sadly, they aren't.

I've personally seen a 12-footer cruising a wreck about 25 miles off of
Marco...and I've heard of several in the 12+ foot range snatching tarpon
from anglers off of FMB, and in Boca Grande Pass.

According to this Maryland web site, the record Hammerhead catch was 191
lbs for a scalloped 8/20/93, and 165 lbs for a smooth. They were taken by
Ocean City. Didn't say what the length was.

time when fishing from a party boat off of Tarpon Springs a hammerhead
surfaced that was much heavier than 99 lbs. Sure looked all of 15 feet. Near
everybody took a step back from the rail. :-)
