Houses in Windsor would be selling for $20K. Well John, if the US auto companies pulled out of Canada, we would still have Toyota, Honda, Chrysler, Cami and Magna, plus the 100's of the second and third tier companies that employ thousands of workers here in Canada for the Auto Industry in Mexico and Europe. Canaduh has 100% of the 2nd and 3rd tier auto component manufacturing companies? That is news to me. Could you provide a link? BTW: Magna is a tier 1 supplier to the auto manufacturers...not an auto manufacturer as you suggested. And their components can easily be manufactured by Lear Industries or Guardian Industries of the US. |

I said that Canada has 100's of those plants that supply the various auto assembly plants Magda is a manufacturer of "Complete Assemblies" for various European Auto Manufacturers. If Lear and Guardian can easily manufacture those parts, then why aren't they doing it now? Could it be that the Canadian Company, Magna, does it better with higher quality, a MUCH better price and delivers the goods on time? Jim Carter. "JimH" wrote in message ... It is a war Don. Besides, you have no dog in the fight so why are you so obsessed with our war on terror? No problems in Canaduh to be worried about or to try and fix? Remember that you need us far more than we need you. ;-) Nice of you to say that after you got us hooked on Yankee dollahs. teehee--- so what is wrong with yahkee do- las? |

You're just jealous because those Canucks are just so much smarter than
53% of the US electorate. I'm jealous, too. Capt. Jeff |

Magda is a manufacturer of "Complete Assemblies" for various European Auto Manufacturers. Nope, they manufacture for the Big 3 also. I used to service their US plants so I do know a thing or 2 about them. If Lear and Guardian can easily manufacture those parts, then why aren't they doing it now? It all has to do with cost. Could it be that the Canadian Company, Magna, does it better with higher quality, a MUCH better price and delivers the goods on time? It all has to do with cost. Guardian, Leer and Magna all produce quality parts meeting or exceding the auto industry QC standards. Jim Carter. ( recently retired from the very successful CANADIAN auto industry.) |

My impression is the US wants all the natural gas, hydro etc we can spare & then some. You may be at home freezing in the dark but others may differ. Once we have bleed your NG fields dry and you rivers don't run we will then just ignore you. |

So I don't think those people in Windsor need to worry. Jim Carter Toyota is close to surpassing GM as the largest automaker in the world. Bad GM management, of course. It seems as if Japan's sun is rising while ours is declining. You need to removed your clouded union glasses and see that GM is finally starting to make good quality produts. |
