Are all nations currently in agreement about piracy? --riverman With the exception of coastal control zones (security zones and fisheries), there seems to be a pretty concrete set of regulations between maritime nations. If you do a websearch on Admiralty Law, you will get a ton more stuff than you ever wanted to know about it. One of my direct anscestors was a Privateer, Francis Drake. He was one of those good enough to get knighted for it. That's pretty cool, especially considering that Drake had no children.... maybe the lineage isn't quite as direct right back there at the beginning? :-) At least the water part runs in both your veins. I visit Tavistock pretty regularly in the summer when I'm at summer school in Plymouth; Sir Francis is a legend around those parts. --riverman |
