Looks like the dumfoch got himself a four-year term to further destroy
what was once a great country.

The upside is that '08 will have a clear slate from both parties who can
BOTH field better candidates. I'd kinda rather see a clear slate in '08 than
EIGHT years of Kerry who seems too "political" to be "real".

I'd welcome a clear and fair debate in '08...... as oppesed to another 10
years of "he said - she said"

Won fair and square Harry.... despite stuffing the tabulators in Ohio,
it wasn't enough - and Florida was won DECISIVELY.

Looks like Ohio will be as well, with no chance of a recount (you have to
be within 1/4 of 1% to get one in Ohio.)

NM is nearly certain to go Bush shortly. Nevada may as well; too early to
know at this point, but it doesn't matter....

Agreed.

Hopefully we'll get good candidates next time around, starting with no
incumbency. Cheney has already said he won't run, and is probably not
viable anyway due to health reasons even if he was to attempt to change
his mind.

Never mind that the counties which went heavily Kerry are all run by
Democrats. Up here in the Panhandle we use mark-sense paper ballots,
which are easily recounted (either by machine or hand)

Thus, you want to now accuse a Democrat Party machine, which ran the
election in those counties, of committing fraud for the REPUBLICAN
candidate?

That stretches credibility just a TINY bit, don't 'ya think?

--

Try to think this through, Karl. There's more to Florida than Miami-Dade
and Evangelistia, where you live, eh? Anywhere there are receipt-less
electronic voting machines in Florida, there are opportunities for
fraud. And when the GOP runs the entire state, but for a few counties,
the opportunities are substantial.

I've posited more than once that federal elections ought to be run by
federal officials, on equipment that meets standards and provides both
the voter and the counters with hard receipts. Receipt-less electronic
voting machines are so much trash. There are electronic machines that
generate receipts.

You're correct.

Now explain why Theresa LaPore, who's a Democrat in a heavily-democratic
county, decided to buy and install in her county the machines that do

not
generate receipts - in the very county where the chad fun was present.

PS: The majority of the heavily republican counties in Florida use and

have
used mark-sense cards with a reader at the point of ballot deposit that
will not accept an overvoted ballot.

Indeed, its simply amazing - the Democrat counties are the ones who

adopted
these electronic machines, in the main. Do 'ya think they thought

perhaps
they could pull some funny bizness - like in Pennsylvania where there

were
machines in heavily-Democrat counties that STARTED with votes on the
tabulators - but it just didn't work out for them?

Might be....

Florida is now 88% in, with Bush having a margin of about 250,000 votes.

Florida looks pretty safe in Bush's column Harry... the remaining votes
would have to break roughly 75% for Kerry for him to win here.

Ain't gonna happen.

And the Democratic party and their PR flacks under Clinton and McAuliffe
show they picked about the worst candidate they could. When the party
loses, why should the same DNC get to stay in charge? They bigger
Dumfoch's?

We moved from Illinois to Florida earlier this year. Did we cause this?

Never mind.

I agree with both of those sentiments Chuck. It appeared you were
basically calling the election for Kerry based on the exit polls.

You mixed my comments up with another post to which I was responding.

It ain't over yet. May not be over for days, but lets hope the will of

the 50
states (the people don't count in this race) is clear by later

toninght.

I think it will be over later this evening - Florida is now roughly

75% in,
including the "big" democrat counties.

Ohio is tougher for me, because I don't have nearly as good a "feel"

for
the county breakdown there.

As things sit right now Bush is ahead by close to 200,000 votes - to

make
up that differential Kerry has a hell of an uphill climb, given that

his
stronghold counties are either largely or entirely in at this point.

The exit polls were pretty clearly wrong.

Probably not. My guess is that "adjustments" were made on the
receipt-less electronic voting machines in Florida and Ohio. Of course,
with no paper trail, how would one prove this? How convenient.

poor harry.......just another union thug loser........

The early exit polls were flawed because they were too heavily weighted
with women voters.

Oops. Bush is winning FL, the popular vote, and probably OH and the
presidency as of 0037 CST. Like you're influencing the vote.

Oh, come on...I didn't get to vote that many times.

Seriously, even the exit polling data spilling about is too preliminary
for anyone to determine anything.

You're probably right but the signs are looking real good. This site is a
real
time market for trading and as such is as close to a real time poll as you
can
get.

Bush is dropping like a rock. He's now as 28 with Kerry at 71 to win. He's
also
falling fast in the Florida race, the Ohio race and the popular vote. It's
not
going to be as close as a lot of people think, if this proves true. Which,
I
hope it is.

Why are the GOP red and the DNC blue anyway??? Any history on this?

And if so... I wanna see the Dem's in blue ties and the Rep's in red ties.
Enough issues to confuse, without using counterfeit ties.

Yes. As to it's political significance, I'm pretty sure it goes along
the lines of red is a male dominate color (as in fire, blood, hunting,
etc.) and blue is a feminine color (as in the color of depth for
instance and in Egyptology, the color most associated with Amun and in
Christian doctrine, St. Mary).

Which, if broken down, red is a more aggressive color which can be
viewed as a negative and blue is a more positive color which can be
viewed as a positive.

From that point you can probably extrapolate why the colors were used
by the nets for thief graphics. [1]
