Default Sealing Chainplates

I've used Boat Life and Boat caulk for the last few years to seal my
chain-plates. They need to be rebedded almost annually to avoid the drips.

Has anyone used something that is more durable? I have a collection of
chemicals in the boat shed including 3M 4200 and Dolphinite which I have not
tried. They seem like they might be TOO permanent.

What has worked for you?

TIA
