divorce, survival, boats. The first three have more in common. Bill "Doug Kanter" wrote in message ... "WaIIy" wrote in message ... Bill It's interesting: The first three groups seem to be part of a pattern I've seen with incorrectly crossposted messages in other newsgroups. In other words, one of four groups is correct, but that set of three is present. I wonder why? |

Cross posting provides benefit only when the context is beneficial to its
readers, or believable. "Doug Kanter" wrote in message ... "WaIIy" wrote in message ... On Fri, 7 Nov 2003 10:59:48 -0800, "jps" wrote: "JohnH" wrote in message .. . ... Cross posting provides benefit only when the context is beneficial to its readers, or believable. You're right. But, some dolts like to clamp onto a word or term they think is naughty, or cool, (like "socialist", "ad hominem" or "crossposting"), and use it to death. Somehow, the entire process of crossposting had gotten a bad rap. But, if you have a question about networking windows 98 and you crosspost to win98.general and win98.networking, the responses will be seen in both newsgroups and you'll have your answers in half the time. Listening, Wally? |
