I have a Maryland friend I just reconnected with who had been in Eagle
River Wisconsin. He now lives in exactly the area you are talking
about. He says the place is beautiful.

Oh, there is no doubt there are pretty locations in Arkansas. I visited
a college buddy who lived in Pine Bluff a couple of times when I worked
in Kansas City and enjoyed the scenery.

The state is plagued by low family incomes and the rest of the mess I
previously quoted. It is as backwards as Alabama and Mississippi, and
maybe worse in some ways.
