Fat Harry has about a one hour 35 mile commute to his job. He doesn't even get close to the beltway. You can't get into DC without getting close to the beltway. You have to go over it or under it. The Beltway circles the city. I am guessing his bus goes down the Suitland Parkway that intersects Md Rt 4 right past the end of the runway at Andrews. Rt 4 goes right down to his "hood". I do seem to remember him saying he was taking the train but that is still right in that same area at Silver Hill Road. Most of the drive is the same but parking is cheaper. I used to use Suitland parkway myself but I got off at Rt 5 to go to Clinton. It gets you through "Souf Esse" with a minimum of gunfire ;-) When I lived in Oxon Hill it was a toss up whether you wound around and took Suitland Parkway or just went down 210 to South Capitol. Once you got across the bridge, traffic wasn't that much different either way. |
