Default Grandson's status

I recently posted that my grandson (National Guard)
had been called up along with others to assist in
some nursing homes that had some outbreaks of
confirmed covid-19 cases.

The homes were severely understaffed with medical
professionals so he and others were given crash
courses in nursing procedures and they assisted
the Docs and Nurses in the care of the residents.
They were fully gowned, wore N95 masks with
gloves and face shields.

Fortunately, additional civilian medical personal
reinforcements arrived and the National Guard
people were placed back in "standby" status.

Before they left though, they were all tested
for covid-19. My grandson tested negative
but is still required to self-isolate for 14
days as an added precaution.

He is temporarily back with my daughter and
son-in-law. They leave meals for him outside
his bedroom door and have hung a sheet of
plastic over his doorway for good measure.

:-)
