Maybe Donnie doesn't realize that putting his guests in the bow of the bowrider would help him get on plane more easily. They might get sprayed while it plows through the waves. Boats like that sit very low in the water. The other problem is these things have a wide bow with very little deadrise so they can really get to pounding. Deck boats are the same way. My buddy with a Hurricane 26 tossed a 48 quart cooler right out of the bow of his boat hitting a wave in the Big Carlos inlet. Like the old Trihull, cathedral hull boats. Were probably the greatest calm lake boats ever made. But beat the crap out of the passengers with any chop. |
