340 miles on the Goldwing this weekend
 

Yes I bought one. A used 1983 Honda Aspencade with only 23xxx miles on it. Nice bike I bought well cheap too. Missus and I logged 180 miles Sunday afternoon. Man was it hot. But she loved the ride and was impressed at how smooth and quiet this macbine is. It's no speed demon even though Honda boasts of 81 hp from the 1100cc engine, but the beast also weighs about 750 lb dry too. Anyhow I had it up to 80 which warrented a tough in the ribs. So..,

Oh this bike has some quirks but it's 33 years old too. Nothing that can't be reasonably handled though. After work I'm planning on goofing off maybe another hundred miles tonight. I love it!

pick-me-up-truck.

I've heard that's the way some folks ride - throw the bike in the back of the truck.

I don't transport mine in anything. I ride them. But I can see where putting a Ducati on the back of a pick up truck can be the thing to do, especially if you want to make some sort of a statement.

LOL. I doubt if I ever turn it into a trike. That's a really expensive procedure. But they do make a trike kit which is glorified training wheels for about any motor cycle, and they actually look good. and costs a tremendous amount less than a typical trike conversion. But I cant see one in my future...
