It's no speed demon even though Honda boasts of 81 hp from the 1100cc engine, but the beast also weighs about 750 lb dry too. Anyhow I had it up to 80 which warrented a tough in the ribs. So.., Oh this bike has some quirks but it's 33 years old too. Nothing that can't be reasonably handled though. After work I'm planning on goofing off maybe another hundred miles tonight. I love it! You go, guy! Nothing like a nice evening ride out there in the country. Here it seems to take 45 minutes to get to a decent riding area. Better post a picture or two. You're probably making Harry feel badly. I havent' heard about any of his 'Ducati' escapades lately. How's the seat on that thing? Comfortable? I don't have "escapades," Racist John, but I was up in Connecticut recently with my motorcycle, which I transported in the back of my pick-me-up-truck. I've heard that's the way some folks ride - throw the bike in the back of the truck. Why the name-calling? Did something I said **** you off? Tell us again about your 'Ducati'. Does it fit on your 'Volvo-powered trawler'? Do you *ever* not lie? You're ever the asshole, Racist John Herring. You missed the question. The name has gotten longer. Does that mean you're *more* ****ed off? All I do at you, Racist John Herring, is laugh. Wonderful composition Mr English major. -- x ----Android NewsGroup Reader---- http://usenet.sinaapp.com/ |

But I can see where putting a Ducati on the back of a pick up truck can be the thing to do, especially if you want to make some sort of a statement. http://gallery.ducatispot.com/image_db/kerry/5373.jpg Most likely that's the Ducati he transported - a sticker on the back of his baby pickup. Isn't there some Klanboree to which you should be towing your motel room? No need to tow a motel room if you'd offer bed and breakfast to someone when visiting Klan headquarters. After all it is so close to your hamlet in the country. x ----Android NewsGroup Reader---- http://usenet.sinaapp.com/ |

We see a lot of motorcycles riding in trailers and pick me ups. I guess the owners are afraid to break in the saddles or wear the little nibs off the tires. To each his own. ? A poser event? Would that be what you attend when you visit your old navee buddies, to reminisce about your wartime escapades sharing condoms? No, it's one to which you haul your 'Ducati' to pose with it for some pictures so you can pretend you ride it, kind of like the picture you 'posed' for at the Parker rally you 'attended'. Remember that one? |

Bike gave a little jerk and lost power. Rod broke, so bike kept rolling. Guy on a big Yamaha stopped and gave me a ride the last 5 miles or so home. Mine was a Kawa 350 rotary valve. Small 2 cylinder version of the H1. |

This was just one of a few trips I make each year to the New Haven area to hang out with old friends. Got pretty good MPGs driving up and back, too. |

It's mostly my old gang of beach/junior high/high school buddies/spouses and newer spouses. I did take the bike on a day and overnight trip to see a couple of old friends who retired to Provincetown, MA. |
