The Fox Business and WSJ moderators did a halfway decent job keeping the discussions on topic. Kasich made an ass of himself ... probably in desperation. It was worth searching for the channel and watching. I was only able to watch a few minutes at a time because of channel flipping to a cable movie I thought more interesting. None of them impressed me, and it wasn't because we are diametrically opposed on most, if not all, the issues. I cannot figure out why Carson is so popular, because he really seems to know next to nothing about most of the issues. I was hoping for more from Kasich. |

Actually, Chris Cristie did a good job in the kiddy debate earlier. Mike Barnicle commented on him this morning on "Morning Joe". He listened to the kiddy debate on the radio while driving to NH and compared it to the Nixon/Kennedy debates when those who listened on the radio felt Nixon won whereas those who saw it televised felt Kennedy won. |

I don't see how any of them can hold a candle to Hillary, Bernie, or Martin, in terms of grasp of the issues, ability to explain their positions, or understanding of how government works. Trump is just too bombastic, Carson is sleepier than Bush, Cruz and Paul are nuts, I agree with your comment about Kasich, Rubio is a neo-con war monger, and if Fiorina is hoping for a VEEP nod, she's the longest of long shots. |

It is telling that he managed to rack up $65,000 worth of credit card debt. I am not sure I want him making decisions on my finances as a tax payer. |

If I have it right, you think we need more illegal aliens, the economy is fine, there are plenty of jobs available, spending levels need to be higher, the $19 trillion dept needs to be bigger, the IRS needs more pages of regulations, government should take more from the workers in taxes, we need more regulations on people and businesses, a terrorist attack here and there is fine, no need to increase military spending, we don't need to repatriate overseas earnings, we need to tax it, no need to try and improve our trade, currency manipulation is not real. Figure $80K of income, two SEP's $7,500, an HSA $7,650, $12,400 standard deduction, deduction for 1/2 of FICA paid, about $6,000, 3 dependent deductions at $3,900 ea. this totals $52,750. If you subtract $52750 from $80,000 you have $27,250 of taxable income. Tax table says tax due of $3181, however with a college tuition tax credit of $1,351, that leaves $1,830 of federal taxes due. 1830 / 80,000 = 2.3% tax rate on $80,000. I probably missed some deductions, this was off the top of my head. I don't feel I need a lower tax rate, give it to the guy paying $100,000 tax bill. What is your Federal tax percentage?
