Maybe the kid was defending himself from an out of control officer. Ripping the kid out of the car for flashing lights and then conveniently the body cam stopped recording. |

Fortunately the cop had a camera and it looks like the kid was just being an asshole. He refused to come up with any ID 7 times, then when the cop said he was under arrest the kid started a fight with the cop, going for his gun according to the cop. The cop did get banged up a bit. Act like a thug, die like a thug. What the hell ever happened to the idea that it was a good thing to talk yourself out of a ticket? |

I think the kid was out of control, but a cop should be able to subdue an asshole without having to shoot him 7 times. And with a camera that conveniently stops. |

It stopped after the kid started fighting with the cop. What was he supposed to do. The taser didn't help. I suppose dumping a whole can of pepper spray into the car might have done something but there was the distinct possibility that this could have degraded into a high speed chase if he didn't detain the kid. Then innocent people are at risk. What was so hard about just following the law and handing the cop his ID? This was a minor traffic infraction, he might have had a warning but it is unlikely that there would be a ticket if he showed the least amount of contrition. |

It's the ripping the kid out of the car starting and the camera turning off, that makes this a bad case. Should have called for backup when the idiot got belligerent. |

He did call for backup, twice. |

The camera was knocked out in the fight. This kid had several chances to comply and he didn't. I would not expect this to end well if it was me but I know there is no fighting with the cops, you always lose. The fact is, you have no rights on the side of the road ... none. The SCOTUS has reaffirmed that many times. |
