Incidents like this are common on both sides.

Our local news had a story on this just about two weeks ago. Some residents of
Medina (the posh waterfront community where Bill Gates lives) complained to the
cops that somebody was ripping out the "God Bless America, Reannoint George
Bush" signs from their front yards. One of the mega mansions caught the
n'erdowell on a security tape, and the cops got the sign thief.

To be sure they were giving equal time to both sides, they also ran coverage of
a Tacoma fire fighter who was arrested when he arrived at the Tacoma landfill.
Seems the back of his F250 was brimming over with Kerry/Edwards signs, most
with dirt still clinging to the picket stakes. Probably seemed like a good idea
about 2:05 the previous morning, just after the bars closed.

People are certainly emotional this time around. :-)

Did the guy with the three year old daughter expect to be welcomed with open
arms at the Kerry rally?

The same thing would have happened, and probably has happened at a Bush rally-
just slightly less likely because the cops usually herd all the anti-Bush folks
to a "protest zone" a few blocks away.

I want to know why this guy took his 3 year old to a Kerry-Edwards rally and
had HER hold the Bush-Cheney sigh when he admitted on a radio interview today
that he had encountered this sort of behavior at other rallies he had been to.
Could it be that he though more of the possible photo op. than the well being
of his daughter?
While we're at it, where the hell was the mom?

But isn't it always you liberals who blame the police whenever protesters
get their heads trampled? You guys never criticize the protesters nor
question their motives for exercising their right to free speech. So why
are you now doing so with the girl's dad?

Democrats in *every* recent election. And he always manages to get into the
news.

Although the victim has since denied it, there is still a powerful resemblance
between the kid in the brand, spanking new union shirt holding a bit of the
sign and one of his two sons in the family photo elsewhere on the site the link
leads to.

First off, I'm not a liberal.

Second, check the guys history.

Third, if you had been to two other rallies and been involved in physical
confrontations, how ever minor, would your wife let you take your 3 year old to
another one?

Fourth, get a clue, if it walks like a duck?

Fifth, if he was a Kerry supporter, you would be posting right with me.
