Good directions, sharp video... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opNM...o&spfreload=10 Good. Now find me one for this: http://tinyurl.com/n7djrxd Other that dropping the cylinder out, there is not much to take apart unless you want to break something ;-) I suppose you can take the grips and side plate off. And this: http://tinyurl.com/qb8xb86 some interesting stuff http://video-hned.com/Mosin+Nagant/ There's a lot of stuff out there on the MN's. I had a hard time with this one though. I need some liberal arts guy to help me out. "M?i chi ti?t liên h? : https://www.facebook.com/pages/Shop-...32054016812145 CHÚ İ QUAN TR?NG : NGOÀI ĞU?NG LINK TRÊN CH" I'm guessing Vietnamese. Looks like some of the signs over the 'establishments' in Saigon. My wife an I watched a movie on Netflix the other night, 'Rescue Dawn' (great movie, BTW), during which I noticed that the 'enemy' fighters were carrying, in some instances, Mosin Nagant 91/30s. Check out this site, John... http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Main_Page Mosin Nagant should win a couple Oscars. I'm still trying to figure out the "attraction" of those rifles. They're not pretty. Some of them still shoot well, and I suppose the Russian ammo is cheap. But they're four feet long, and heavy. Oh, well, there's a cover for every pot. Yup. That's the way I feel about the AR-15 style weapons. The Mosin Nagant is a fun beast to shoot. The M-16 was like shooting the Fanner 50, or some other toy gun made by Mattel. If I had a .223 rifle, it would be something like this: http://img326.imageshack.us/img326/3...23rifle7lm.jpg Different strokes, etc. I satisfied my desire for an "old fashioned" rifle with my lever action Win '92 clone, though I wouldn't mind having a modern bolt action rifle or, my sentimental favorite, a "Swede" in 6.55 as I have previously mentioned. I'm just not a fan of very long, very heavy rifles. I like the ARs because they're easy to break down and clean and modify, and if you keep them clean and lubed, very reliable, plus, the .223 round, while loud, is not difficult to control and place. I'm shooting 1-1/2" to 2" groups at 100 yards with "El Cheapo" brass plinking ammo. I should buy a box of .223 "premium" ammo next time I am at Bass Pro and see what it does when I pull the trigger. -- Proud to be a Liberal. |
