Good. Now find me one for this:

Other that dropping the cylinder out, there is not much to take
apart
unless you want to break something ;-)
I suppose you can take the grips and side plate off.

And this:

There's a lot of stuff out there on the MN's. I had a hard time with
this one though. I need some
liberal arts guy to help me out.

I'm guessing Vietnamese. Looks like some of the signs over the
'establishments' in Saigon.

My wife an I watched a movie on Netflix the other night, 'Rescue
Dawn'
(great movie, BTW), during
which I noticed that the 'enemy' fighters were carrying, in some
instances, Mosin Nagant 91/30s.

Check out this site, John...

Mosin Nagant should win a couple Oscars.

I'm still trying to figure out the "attraction" of those rifles.
They're
not pretty. Some of them still shoot well, and I suppose the Russian
ammo
is cheap. But they're four feet long, and heavy. Oh, well, there's a
cover for every pot.

Heavy big bore rifles are more fun to shoot than lightweight rifles. As
long as you do not have to carry them in battle.

I can see that, but at the moment, I'm pretty much limited to 100
yards of outdoor shooting space, and when I hit a two liter soda
bottle or gong with my .223 or .357 mag rifle ammo, the bottle
explodes and the gong goes..."gong"! I suppose a bigger bore rifle
would make a bigger "gong" sound. But with the weight of those bigger
rifles, I'd probably want to use a shooting bag or steel rest. I can't
use a bayonet, either, because when I shaved down the gas block on my
AR, I shaved off the bayonet attachment point. Smacking a bayonet into
a two liter sodapop bottle might be fun.

You've been watching too many YouTube videos.

Yup. That's the way I feel about the AR-15 style weapons. The Mosin Nagant is a fun beast to shoot.
The M-16 was like shooting the Fanner 50, or some other toy gun made by Mattel. If I had a .223
rifle, it would be something like this:
http://img326.imageshack.us/img326/3...23rifle7lm.jpg

Different strokes, etc.

I have three .223 rifles. A pre-ban Colt AR-15 (safe queen), a Windham
Weaponry AR-15 (for target shooting), and a Ruger Hawkeye 17107 bolt
action (for hunting). They all serve a different purpose.

I don't like the AR style - but that's based solely on looks. Other than 'over there', I've never
fired one. I like the style of the Ruger Mini 14 Ranch Rifle. But see, that's that old M-14
favoritism showing itself.

I like the AR *because* of it's style. I have an AK (actually two - one
rifle and one pistol) but that is just part of my collection - for
shooting that type of weapon I prefer the AR platform. It's easy to
hold on target and has a variety of accessories and optics that work
well with it. I'm a Ruger fan - I have 9 of their firearms. One is the
..223 bolt action. The Mini 14 is a classic but it's not on my short
list for my collection.

Firearms are about personal preference.
