Things are going to get worse before they get better, I'm afraid. Next thing you know we'll be seeing videos and photos or reading reports of police shooting, beating, tasing, stomping, and so forth, *unarmed* citizens...and getting away with it. Oh, wait... Oh how cute. There's too much violence in this country on all sides. ![]() Luckily, the unions will do all in their power to prevent punishment of bad cops. The boys shooting the cops don't have such protection. Shame, isn't it? You apparently still do not understand that the job of a union like the police unions is to protect its members and make sure they receive due process. Oh, and my comment was about *unarmed* citizens. Did you miss that? I seem to recall union officials making pronouncements about innocence well before any due process. I also recall folks right here making pronouncements about guilt well before due process. To help ensure due process is one thing. To proclaim innocence or guilt is another. There are times when 'unarmed' citizens may need shooting, tasing, or other measures to preclude injury/death of the officer or bystanders. |
