Anyone planning on boating in the mid-Bay area this Sunday? Temps are
supposed to be in the 60s, and I'll probably try to get out for half a
day, maybe with a fishing rod or two, maybe not.

Went out on the Patrick today out of Deale with the neighborhood group. We
brought 100+ Strippers up to the boat and into the boat and only kept 4,
most were in the 14 to 17 inch range. We were between Deale and the nuke
plant chumming. Other boats brought in their limit of 20+ inchers and were
not fishing in the spots we were fishing. Will be eating the ones we caught
tonight.

Bert

I had a plan to buy the Gas Docks, convert it to an offshore gambling
casino, bait store and whorehouse, and I would have had need to hire
about 100 strippers. Alas, some gas company in Virginia made a better
offer.

I did ok last Sunday down at the Nuke Plant by the outflow. Caught a
mess of blues on very light tackle.

You going out Sunday, Bert?

Seriously, if you are offering I'll buy the bait and kick in for gas!. We
were on the other side of the channel.

Blackend Rockfish is good on the taste buds.

Mark would rather hang out with his 'rough men'.
As for Karen...the 'blokes' seem to tickle her fancy.

If the weather is reasonable*, I'll be going out Sunday around 8-ish
from Harbour Cove Marina in Deale, and you're more than welcome,
especially if you're kicking in for gasoline.

Bring your tackle, a cooler full of whatever you eat and drink, et
cetera. I try to get back to the marina no later than 4 so I can scrub
out the boat.

I've only got one light rod with a conventional reel at the moment,
since all my small spinning reels are up at Penn for their annual D&C.
but that's no problem. Got a medium weight setup I can bring along, too.

Email me a phone number at and we can set it
up. Take out the (no-spam)

* Supposed to be "partly sunny" Sunday with temps creeping to the
mid-60's, which is ok by me. But dress warm...the conditions were
similar last Sunday, but it was damned cold at 8 am.
