Last ammo I bought was about a year ago, for my 9.mm Mak. Odd cartridge that no one was buying and I got them on a close out. 9 boxes of 100.at $12.00 a box (Fiocchi brand ) ... cheap! |

Sorta blows a hole through all the government "conspiracy" theories that at least one individual here was promoting. http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2014/02/17/the-nra-reveals-whos-to-blame-for-ammo-shortage-yo.aspx I'm kinda hoping for a *huge* all-American gunfight between *all* the private citizen ammo hoarders, one that lasts until the last round is fired. It'll be loud, flashy, and it'll improve the gene pool. I've only got four to six boxes each of .22LR, 45ACP, 45LC, and a few boxes of shotgun shells, so I'm not hoarding. At what point does hoarding simply become investing? If you never shoot, you are hoarding but if you believe you will shoot the ammo eventually it is just an investment. I feel a whole lot better about going to the range and shooting 15 cent shots than those guys who are shooting at 75 cents a round and not sure if they will have any next week. Greg that's the way I look at it. I really don't go shooting ofr the sake of burning up brass, but several years ago (about 25), I bought govt. surplus .223 at .14c. a round in bulk. I thought it was worth copping a couple thousand count. "Dirty" Chinese 7.62x39 surplus? 1500 rd. per crate at .07c. a shot. I figured that was worth 3 crates. .44 mag, .357, .22- same deals and likewise, same types of quantities. ..308 is still insanely expensive. .45 auto is cheaper! |

I don't "stock up" on ammo. Don't use it. Had an uncle that would stock up his favorite beer when it went on sale. I have a lifetime supply. There's about a half a can left of my 5mm Sheridan air rifle pellets. It held 500 rounds when I got it about 50 years ago. |

Good target and varmint pistol. Mice. Crosman makes great stuff anymore. their .177 "Cock and pull" pellet rifles hit just as hard as a .22. |

It shoots lead pellets at a muzzle velocity of 1200 fps and the "high velocity" type pellets at 1400 fps. When fired, it is louder than my ..22LR rifle (also a Ruger). |
