Come visit DC during the Native American day held here. Or, go visit the Navajo Nation and see the attractions put up by that tribe. John H. -- Hope you're having a great day! They have become millionaires from gambling, tax free cigarettes and other enterprises we used to associate with the Mafia. Oh, really? Just how many Navajo are millionaires? How many Navaho are living in a wikiup or trailer house next to a nice government provided home? Try visiting and talking to the locals on the reservation. |

Oh, really? Just how many Navajo are millionaires? How did "native American" suddenly get limited to "Navaho"? I am not sure why they are not running casinos and cigarette stores. Maybe it is because they are out in the desert ... but so is Las Vegas. How many "native American" millionaires not involved in casinos and tax free cigarettes can you name? It would be an interesting study to see what percentage of indians are not involved in cigarettes and casinos. After all it is 2013 and the Navahos are not held on the reservation by law. They can load up the pickup and move to town. There must be something keeping them there. They can go to paid training as much as they want. Do not know if it is still in operation but there was a school in Oakland. Lots of Indians came and took lots of job training classes. I think it made for a paid vacation in the city. |

We were through parts of Navaho country last year and the vast majority are living in ramshackle mobile homes surrounded by junk and driving 30 year old pick up trucks. According to Greg and John, it's because they are so stinking rich!!! |

If the Shakopee Mdewakanton Tribe is any indication, there are a bunch of them. John H. -- Hope you're having a great day! |
