It is a good question but the answer still might have been "**** you
cracker" and a punch in the nose.
I agree we would like to believe that a more civil exchange might have
had a better outcome.

I have asked people in our neighborhood who they were and what they
were doing in our pavilion a number of times without incident but some
of my neighbors think I am crazy for doing it.

I have thought about carrying my flashlight/zapper.

I'm bright enough to leave the policing to the police.

In my case it was the kids in the neighborhood, 99% of the time. Why
hassle them with the cops?

Because saying that fits his agenda and garners responses from you guys...
