Default The levee at Alton IL. could break

I jsut got a not from a good friend who lives a small distance from
the levee.

"...When I got there the river was flowing over the top of the levee.
My neighbor was trying to build up the levee where he could.

He could not take the cat out on to the levee though. It was coming
over both sides of this spot about 1 to 1 ½ feet.

They got there with sand bags to stop it at that time. Last night a
levee at the other in of West Alton was topped and flooded out hwy
367.

They had to block off the way out of town in that direction to try and
keep it from flooding the town. They told everyone in town to get out
now.

If the levee holds and the rain we have coming does not cause it to
over flow or break, my house might be ok this time again...."


This isn't cool at all!
