A suppressor is an NFA device, regulated exactly the same way as a M2 .50 cal or a 20mm anti tank gun. Not counting grenades and LAWS rockets and the like. However it is legal to own a bolt OR semi-auto .50 cal with an FOID card in Illinois. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2...-50-bmg-semi-a... Great for hunting deer... Might be, I've never tried it. Well, if that doesn't work, get yourself an RPG. Hunting ought to be renamed for what it is...animal slaughter. It's the same as cattle slaughter. And combining corn, soybeans, milo and canola is "grain slaughter?" ummmmmmm... hamburger... And bacon..... |

Are the slaughterhouses where your beef, pork and chicken come from considered "sport"? |

No. But I don't consider hunting a "sport," or hunters "sportsmen." It's simply slaughtering mammals for consumption in a different way than it usually is done in the meatpacking industry. There's very little skill involved in looking through the scope of a rifle, pulling the trigger and killing a deer. I've seen it done several times by guys who can barely tie their shoes. Now, if you "hunt" with a still or video camera, and manage to get really close and personal with an animal, that is a sport that usually takes a great deal of skill to produce results. And I no longer think fishing is a "sport," either. Isn't evolution of thought wonderful? |
