I would like to visit Croatia at the beginning of September. We are a party of
4. I would like to hire a small day-boat for around 6 days. Where should we stay? I have only just begun to research our holiday thus any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! We are hoping to keep costs low. Is Croatia suitable? Should we look elsewhere? Thanks in advance!! Niall |

I'd like to visit Croatia at the beginning of September for around 10 days. I
don't really know anything about Croatia so would welcome any suggestions on where would be best. I would like to keep costs low. How much does accommodation cost in Croatia. Is going out cheap? We would ideally like to stay in a town with lots of quaint tavernas which is also safe at night. We are all in our low-twenties and would love a mix of adventure / sightseeing. Is it very easy to hire small day-boats? Does the area cater well for tourists? As you can probably tell, I really don't know much about Croatia. I would like to learn though. As I've already said, please let me know what it's really like and whether it would be suitable for 4 students. Thanks in advance!! Niall |

Totally agree with you, we went all around the Kornati's during the week. The sailing was really easy, no more that F4/5's and generally less. The seas were pretty flat as well. We also saw some dolphins ! What more does a man/woman need to be convinced ? Cheers Richard "dundo" wrote in message ... Biograd is beautiful, but if you'd really like to experience sailing and nature, visiting national park Kornati (close to city of Zadar) is definitely a must. Check this website : http://www.kornati.hr/ I spend every summer there as my wife still has parents living on island named 'Dugi otok' (translated in English that would be 'Long Island').... Niall, I'll send you a mail soon with some numbers and e-mail addresses of my friends there where you can get more info.... In article , says... I spent a week sailing around the Biograd area with my wife (who has never sailed before). The two of us were in a Oceanis 331 from Sunsail who have a base in the Marina in Biograd. It is definitely recommended and if you like there are flotillas that you can join which will give you all the support you want. Biograd was also very good in the evenings and the whole area is influenced by the Italian scene. The bars really get fired up at around 11:00 when all the 20/30 somethings come out to pose and watch others doing similar. I would try www.sunsail.com for some good assistance for the boats. There are also alot hotels and guets houses in the area. Best regards Richard "NIALLBRUCE" wrote in message ... I'd like to visit Croatia at the beginning of September for around 10 days. ![]() It's really relaxing. Usually there's no strong winds or storms during summertime. Occasional quick storms are possible but it's always easy to find some place to hide. If you ever come to visit again, send me an email. I'm located in small village called Sali on SE part of Dugi Otok island during August. In article , says...
