This is interesting. Theoretical physicists think that it might be
possible to travel faster than light by warping the fabric of space-time directly in front of, and behind, the space ship. Ships are vaguely on topic, no? http://www.foxnews.com/science/2012/09/17/warp-drive-may-be-more-feasible-than-thought-scientists-say/?intcmp=obinsite Yes, yes, it's from Fox News and who knows. Interesting concept in any event. |

Interesting concept in any event. Is the ship the motor. I can see the motor's warping the space around the motor and leaving the ship saying, what just happened. Hummmm, I bet Tim could build it... |

Up until recently however it has been mostly science fiction with an emphasis on *fiction*. It might still be fiction but at least a few people are thinking seriously about it. That's news worthy don't you think? |

Interesting concept in any event. ------------------------------------------- There are several documented experiments involving a laser fired through gaseous cesium (within a vacuum chamber) that suggests that the beam emerges from the chamber before it entered. I think a Russian physicist first demonstrated this. I found a possible explanation. I understand some of it (interference patterns) but not all the math. http://plus.maths.org/content/faster-light |
