Not really. The original case of letting a kid fall out of the

college
fund for the kid. Was not Safeway's fault they let the kid fall out.
Cars
did not even have seat belts. Started a flood of windfall suits over
the
years.

I think it is stupid that they ALLOW kids to ride in the same cart you
put your food in. I never put anything I will eat in that top tray.

Leaky diaper, fresh produce (that most people put up there) what could
possibly go wrong ?
That tray is for bleach, poisons and bathroom cleaners that I also
don't want mixed with my food.
Fortunately I seldom actually see kids in carts. They have those race
car carts for kids. I think they should just eliminate the leg holes.

-------------------------------------------
Hell, the carts are dirty from just being outside and the people
pushing the
cart. I normally put the bring your own bag in the cart these days to
put
the food in.

Civilized up here. One of our local chains provides those anti-
bacterial wipes that I use to disinfect the shopping cart handle.
You never know when a Looney or a Freak just used that cart and left
unspeakable debris all over it.

Couple of grocery chains down here do the same in the anti-bacterial
wipes. Can't be too careful when it comes to avoiding
Loogy/Freak diseases!

You got bigger health problems with that sink next to your coffeemaker.

I see harry and don are still begging me to talk to them....;)

Actually, no. We just want to see you explode.

Is that like wishing him dead?

We are not sure what the long term effect of chewing nicotine gum is
going to be. If nicotine is the poison they say it is, how can a $200
a month gum habit be all that healthy? Swallowing 40 mg of nicotine a
day must do something bad to you. (10 chews)
Most former smokers I know still chew the gum. It is a real problem at
the club.(stuck everywhere)

It's pretty bad for your teeth, gums, arteries, birth defects for
babies of women's use during pregnancy... the list goes on.

Make up your mind, You are arguing with yourself again

So, now you're equating bubble gum with nicotine gum????

Nobody ever said bubble gum, We were talking about smokers and
reformed smokers, that implies nicotine gum. It is the gum that I was
talking about. The two are easy to tell apart, even stuck to the
bottom of your shoe.

I believe the directions for Nicorette calls for a cessation in the chewing of it within six months
- maybe less. I spent about two years on the stuff. Mostly I was addicted to having something in my
mouth. Now I chew Orbit in the orange package. Still addicted to having something to chew on.

I was buying my Nicorette from an outfit in Australia for about 1/3 the price it sells for here.
And, whenever my friends from Holland came over, they would bring a bunch. Again, it sells for about
half there of what it goes for locally.

Discountgum.com in New Zealand is pretty cheap too. Free shipping Air
Express.

Here's what was strange. The Australian outfit shipped the stuff from Atlanta, GA, and they had a
customer service number there also.

Weird, but it saved me a bundle.

This guy actually runs a pharmacy in Christ church NZ. His stuff comes
in international air express.
It is real cheap tho, something like 6 cents a chew vs 45 cents at
Walmart. I know several people who have been using the gum for 15
years or more. At a certain point I am not sure how much healthier
this is than smoking. Swallowing an ounce or more of nicotine a year
can't be good for you.

Congratulations for kicking the nicotine habit completely. That is not
an easy thing to do.

Thanks. When I was using the gum, I was wondering just how bad nicotine itself was on the body.
Couldn't find a whole lot, but Wikipedia does say this:

"By binding to ganglion type nicotinic receptors in the adrenal medulla nicotine increases flow of
adrenaline (epinephrine), a stimulating hormone and neurotransmitter. By binding to the receptors,
it causes cell depolarization and an influx of calcium through voltage-gated calcium channels.
Calcium triggers the exocytosis of chromaffin granules and thus the release of epinephrine (and
norepinephrine) into the bloodstream. The release of epinephrine (adrenaline) causes an increase in
heart rate, blood pressure and respiration, as well as higher blood glucose levels.[32]"

OK, so it causes the release of epinephrine, but how much is not answered. While smoking I never had
a problem with blood pressure, heart rate, or blood glucose levels. Those problems all started
*after* I quit smoking. Of course I breathe much better now, but respiration wasn't a problem
either.

I do have COPD, but luckily it's not gotten worse since I quit. Probably the most severe effects
smoking have had on me so far are with teeth and gum problems. Eleven teeth were pulled two months
after I quit smoking, when I finally worked up the courage to go back to a dentist. Eight implants
were expensive, and I'm still having more problems. The dental problems caused by the **** that
comes with the nicotine seldom get mentioned.

Don't go away mad, just go away.

If you are going to go after those who either have no boats or have no
