Not gum chewing. Feel free to continue to defend smoker's "rights". We are not sure what the long term effect of chewing nicotine gum is going to be. If nicotine is the poison they say it is, how can a $200 a month gum habit be all that healthy? Swallowing 40 mg of nicotine a day must do something bad to you. (10 chews) Most former smokers I know still chew the gum. It is a real problem at the club.(stuck everywhere) Which bad habit kills people with regularity? Not gum chewing It's pretty bad for your teeth, gums, arteries, birth defects for babies of women's use during pregnancy... the list goes on. Make up your mind, You are arguing with yourself again So, now you're equating bubble gum with nicotine gum???? Nobody ever said bubble gum, We were talking about smokers and reformed smokers, that implies nicotine gum. It is the gum that I was talking about. The two are easy to tell apart, even stuck to the bottom of your shoe. You don't happen to eat a lot of fatty foods and drink a lot of booze, do you? Not so much on the booze but I probably eat more red meat than my doctor would like. He still says my cholesterol and triglycerides are OK. I am scheduled to go see him again soon, I will get you the numbers if you like. You shouldn't listen to your doctor! He's got a medical degree, but you have common sense... or some bs like that. |

The let the kid fall out of the Safeway Stores grocery cart. They got $50k plus a college fund for the kid. Was not Safeway's fault they let the kid fall out. Cars did not even have seat belts. Started a flood of windfall suits over the years. I think it is stupid that they ALLOW kids to ride in the same cart you put your food in. I never put anything I will eat in that top tray. Leaky diaper, fresh produce (that most people put up there) what could possibly go wrong ? That tray is for bleach, poisons and bathroom cleaners that I also don't want mixed with my food. Fortunately I seldom actually see kids in carts. They have those race car carts for kids. I think they should just eliminate the leg holes. ------------------------------------------- Hell, the carts are dirty from just being outside and the people pushing the cart. I normally put the bring your own bag in the cart these days to put the food in. |

Civilized up here. One of our local chains provides those anti- bacterial wipes that I use to disinfect the shopping cart handle. You never know when a Looney or a Freak just used that cart and left unspeakable debris all over it. |
