I must have missed that vote to rescind our Constitution.

I won't have to worry about it. Presently I'm driving a 1990 Mercury
Wagon and a 1995 Lincoln Town Car , and I'll probably by a 2011 model
car in what 2030?

I figure my Moto Guzzi and the pickup will last until I die. But, in order for socialism to be all
it can be, the government has to be able to track its people.

When you start taking seriously the crackpot crap on loonytarian sites,
are you as cracked as the pots there?

The device under discussion is not for surveillance if by that one means
"watching" a driver or where he or she goes. It is for recording info
about speed, brake application, et cetera, and might be helpful in
turning up car defects in case of an accident.

You are simply too simple minded to grasp the negative implications of
the use of the "black box" On board computers are already capable of
doing what you allude to. So ask yourself why another
monitoring/recording device? Start thinking out of the box for a change.

That doesn't figure into his paranoid, anti-Obama, anti-sanity
reality.

My brother-in-law picked up an '87 Jaguar sedan last fall. He's having it
restored as we speak.
He's already gone out & bought a driving cap and driving gloves but will
need a new Harris Tweed sports jacket to complete the look.
I was trying to talk him into joining the local chapter of the British
Automobile Touring Assoc.

I would worry about it. What happens when thy tell you that you no
longer can use or drive those cars? Or charge you $1000 for an annual
license?

Government is gearing up some nasty consumption taxes.

Hazards of Liberalism and the fleabagger lefties. Note that the
government emphasis is all about information on how to fine you, manage
you like sheep, of zero benefit to you.

Now if it had a 360 CCD camera recorder, so if clipped by a police car,
or witness some event, or perhaps cat the local drug addict son of a
politician vandalizing your car....

And think, it probably even has wireless access.
