rec.boats has become a hate filled, political gabfest with nothing really to offer to new or veteran boaters. Too bad. It used to be enjoyable to participate and it was helpful to newbies. Yes. The group always had its share of crazies but the ratio of "on topic" to "off topic" used to be much higher. Keep us posted on your new boat selection/process. In my opinion everyone needs at least two boats. One should be suitable for extended cruising, and the second should be a good day boat for joy riding and/or fishing. |
