The sides are a little low for Erie. Mine come up to my waist. You'll
never fall out of my Boat, fighting a very large Salmon.

That Key West is a small 18-footer, and light. I wouldn't go more than a
couple of miles offshore in Lake Superior in that boat. A larger Key
West would be a better bet.

Well Superior, and Michigan, are a lot deeper than Erie. You gotta
really watch your Barometer if you're out on questionable days. The
Lake can whip up much worse than the other 3 ( Superior, Michigan, and
Huron) in NO time at all. On good days, I have been out more than 12
miles, looking at the Weather Buoy. Good fishing out there. The fish
hang around it.

An 18 foot Boat is too short for four guys to fish comfortably.
