I am on my third set of trailer lights. Each has died due to salt

You could go with something like this:

http://www.championtrailers.com/PIPE%20LIGHTS.htm

I had a similar setup on the trailer for my 25' Parker. Combined turn
signals, running lights, stop lights. License plate light stayed on the
trailer under the boat, burned out about one bulb there a year.
