They're on a very nice sailboat owned by the dead hostage. They no longer have need of it. The sailboat is a pirate ship now. Lob a few 5" HE rounds into it from a couple miles away and come home. If we really want to stop this crap we can. Use aerial surveillance to profile the mother ships, monitor them from over the horizon and when they start an attack, be there with air power.. If you sink a few of these, the pirates may decide pirating is not worth the risk. We need to recover the sailboat so we can tax it as an asset as it's going from parents to children. |

One advantage of drones is we wouldn't have the problem of taking prisoners. That seems pretty effective in Afghanistan. Just kill them all and let god sort them out. The idea of putting these guys in an American prison as some kind of deterrent is ridiculous. If you are a Somali pirate, Pelican Bay is a health spa. Did you see the smile on the face of the guy they took on the Maersk Alabama while they were hauling him off to prison? Maybe it is time we brought back "walking the plank" for these pirates. I have a feeling Pelican Bay might change is attitude. |

google the story Ya, and they should have just fed the fish with the 13 they caught. Send out a training carrier. Park it right off Somalia. Drove some fliers of in Mogadishu to whatever the hole is called. The message should read, "If you are outside of the 25nm shore limit, we shoot without notice. Every few hours an Apache or tomcat takes off and shoots up anything outside of the 25mn limit it can't identify as friendly. When pirates cease coming home, they will cease pirating. To get things on the roll, send in the Delta Force and Special Ops to clean up and move the 35 shops or so in the ransom queue. If they are not friendly, shoot. I really think it is time to nail them hard. -- Socialism is a great ideal as long as someone else pays for it. And when no one is left to pay for it, they all can share nothing. |

Seems stupid to give them club fed. Slit the wrists and walk the plank is the right thing to do. Worked rather well in the old days. -- Socialism is a great ideal as long as someone else pays for it.
