Default Can somebody recommend a boating newsgroup?

Not to be snotty about it, but this one appears to be 99% political
commentary. I'm a new boat owner and looking for information actually
about boating.

I have owned just about every style boat built, and spend 30-40 hrs a
week boating, so if you have any questions, ignore these assholes and
just ask your questions and I will help.

Why do you have to be such an asshole spoofer, especially when someone new
asks a sensible question.
No wonder this newsgroup is in the crapper.

Well, since you brought it up the new poster should know that 95% of
the "spoofers" and political crap in this group is one poster, Harry
Krause, doing everything he can to get noticed... It's sad, but a few
dozen filters do the trick well, Yeah, a few dozen as he keeps
changing his handle every day or two...
