Default CT Police a little on edge?

WTF happened to first amendment rights in CT? Breaching the peace?

Saying that you understand where the guy was coming from doesn't
endorse his actions nor is it a call to action. CT needs to take a
deep, cleansing breath.

Police: Man arrested at Conn. company for saying he understood mindset
of shooter who killed 9

Connecticut police say they arrested a man at a management company
after he mentioned the shooting rampage across the state that killed
nine people and said he understood the killer's mindset.

Fifty-eight-year-old Francis Laskowski of Derby was charged with
breach of peace Wednesday after making the comments while working at
Fusco Management Co. in New Haven.

Nine people died in the shootings Tuesday at Hartford Distributors in
Manchester, including gunman Omar Thornton. Thornton told police in a
911 call that he wanted to avenge racial discrimination, allegations
that company officials denied.

Laskowski told The Associated Press on Friday that his comments were
blown out of proportion. He says his arrest was "ridiculous" and he
didn't make any threats.

Your president is doing his best to discard *all* the protections
afforded by the Constitution. You like him, so why are you whining?

In what passes for a thought in herring's pea-sized brain, a seemingly
bizarre arrest in Connecticut is somehow related to President Obama.

The alternate spelling for moron is herring.

He can't even draw a proper analogy for corroboration let alone
causation. I'm surprised he was able to articulate anything longer
than a multi-syllabic bumper sticker.

Hey, what do expect from simple-minded righties like herring, jack, bar,
larry, flajim, et cetera, who are such big fans of Sarah Palin, who
presents like nothing more than an unprepared high-school student trying
to bluff her way through an oral exam by mugging and flirting.

So what would you have done if you were the responding officer?

I'm not a policeman nor to I live in the great state of CT so I'm not
aware of the latitude of decisions available.

Why would a police officer even respond to a call announcing that
someone had said something that was sympathetic to (however ugly) a
point of view?

Whomever took the call might have been smart enough to say that it
wasn't against the law to voice an opinion and that opinion was
neither a call to arms nor a threat to anyone (other than bigots
residing in CT).

CT police need to take a deep, cleansing breath before they cost their
municipalities a bunch of money in the form of a lawsuit.
