A few small spot became bait chunks, and a couple croakers took them. We spent the day under the Bay Bridge, because I wanted to see what the Sandy Point marina was like after not having been there for so long. Great launch area with space for about twenty simultaneous boat launchings. The launch fee isn't too bad, at $8, but if one gets there before 6 am it's only three bucks. http://tinyurl.com/2a43mmt Check out The Spoils north of the bridge in the Bay opposite the entrance to the Bal'mer Harbor area. I haven't been there in a few years, but my neighbor down the street fished there earlier this week and brought home a couple of nice stripers. He was live lining spot. |
