We got our grand daughter a Disney (Asus) hardened kid notebook that looks pretty tough. It already spent a night out on the yard in the rain and survived. The one we got has a solid state drive so there are no moving parts. This machine is 1.6 gz. I assume they make a more capable one in a similar case.
