We all know his next stop will be Fox News, and not because he's so honest, but because he fits the Fox mold better than he fit CNN. He never explained the illegals that work in the stables where his daughters keep their horses. That's ok, I guess. If he goes to Faux, he won't be whining anymore about U.S. corporations exporting jobs. That sort of behavior is just fine with the GOP. Cheap labor is what drives capitalism. Of Course he won't change his basic line, but he might moderate it. Don't forget he's a birther, which even Fox news considers to be to far out there. I'm thinking that FOX will moderate their all Republican views, all the time, now that Obama has pointed it out. They will be slightly critical of some of the extreme views to prove Obama wrong. Maybe this is Dobbs new job? To provide the nut job view that they can gently discredit. Interesting point. I'd prefer he was out of work for a while but he would certainly help further cement the Hispanic community's support of Dems if he were to go to Fox. Texas could end up looking lots bluer. |

I mean, has he been convicted of any crime? That is the standard right??? Holy ****!! You unhinged right wingers have a friggin' fit when someone mentions Bush's failings, saying it's old now everything is on Obama. Yet you STILL go back to Clinton when you can't find anything to blame on Obama. -- WAFA the newsgroup liar free! |

Used to like him, as he railed against the destruction of American manufacturing and the middle class, and the offshoring of jobs. No friend of Wall Street. Also stood up for the working man in decrying the use of illegals to lower wages, and flout the law. Got after the Chamber of Commerce often. Then he basically flipped out when Obama was elected. Became a birther. Too bad. Quit talking entirely about his past real grievances, though nothing has changed under Obama. I misjudged him. He did have a number of good shows on health care. Best I've seen on TV. Still have some hope for him, but not much. --Vic Asking a President to produce a birth certificate shouldn't be all that bad. If wanting to see such a thing is wrong, I guess I'm a 'birther' also. -- John H "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." I used to really like him until he got stuck in the birther rut and just slotted himself into the same catagory as all the other cable news opinionists. I won't call them newspeople, in my book newspeople report the news and don't try to make it. |

His honesty is what cost him his job at CNN. He fits the Fox mold because he reports more than just the ass-kissing 'Bama crap found on CNN and the rest of the media. -- John H "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." It would be interesting to know what pushed Dobbs over the edge into the lunatic fringe world. At one time he seemed like a responsible journalist. The sad thing is that he was not running a journalism show, he was doing the Lou Dobbs opinion show. With good ratings, they should have let him have the contrary viewpoint pulpit. They are making money and maybe putting something on the air that is slanted the other way from the majority of their shows. The Fourth Estate has been a failure the last 30 years or so. |
