Funny. Yeah, this was a welcome relief after spending the previous evening listening to Charles Ives :) -- Posted via NewsDemon.com - Premium Uncensored Newsgroup Service -------http://www.NewsDemon.com------ Unlimited Access, Anonymous Accounts, Uncensored Broadband Access I like some of Ives' works. His String Quartet #1 comes to mind, as does some of his solo piano pieces. There is or was a professor at Wesleyan who recorded some interesting Ives' vocal pieces. One of his pieces that I think is rather provocative and even enjoyable to listen to is "Central Park in the Dark." He was obviously a talented composer, just a tad eccentric. He definitely marched to the beat of a different drum. -- Posted via NewsDemon.com - Premium Uncensored Newsgroup Service -------http://www.NewsDemon.com------ Unlimited Access, Anonymous Accounts, Uncensored Broadband Access If you are in an experimental mood, soak up some Gunther Schuller. Good stuff. I'll do that, Harry, if I can squeeze it in in the next few days. -- Posted via NewsDemon.com - Premium Uncensored Newsgroup Service -------http://www.NewsDemon.com------ Unlimited Access, Anonymous Accounts, Uncensored Broadband Access |
