In my family, Rememberance Day is a day of honour. Forty-four of my family have served Canada since World War One, with five resting peacefully in Europe, two in the Philippines, and one in the Baltic Sea. God Bless 'em. I ahve had a lot of family serve int he US armed forces and have only lost one that I know if in conflict. I have a cousin on the Vietnam wall. But I had an Uncle tat was in Domremey and was hit with mustard gss in ww1. i was fortunate to know him and talk with him a bit before he died in 1968. |
